Filament tape, also known as strapping tape, is a pressure sensitive adhesive coated onto a backing material made of polypropylene film and fibre glass filaments. This combination of materials offers exceptional tensile strength. Filament tape serves diverse packaging applications including securing corrugated fibreboard reinforcing packages, bundling items, pallet unitization, sealing hazardous materials, pipeline and cable wrapping and more. Furthermore, strips or bands of filament tape can be applied to the box to provide additional support for heavy loads or to reinforce weak construction. Filament tape can be applied manually using a stationary dispenser or more efficiently with a handheld tape dispenser. This enables users to position the tape accurately on the box, cut it off, and apply a finishing touch by rubbing it down
